William Hawke here. Thanks for the click. I’m Managing Director of L.B. Associates (Pvt) Ltd. I’m a Canadian who has been permanently domiciled in India for over thirteen years.

We are often asked, “What does the ‘etc’ mean at the tail end of your buzz line – Contract Publishers etc?” Well, actually, we’re entrepreneurs and are therefore willing to undertake anything that makes sense. To date, this includes activities hidden under the button links above.

Take contract publishing for instance. We’ve been producing customer magazines for various organizations since 1996. Most of the publications that we produce are advertising supported and therefore represent no financial burden to the client. To date clients from 89 countries worldwide have outsourced publishing related work to us here in India, where they can get high quality work done at less than half the cost than if it was done in the West.

Also, we’ve noticed over the years that the Indian public is uninformed about Africa. This prompted us to create the Indo-African Society with the objective to “Create an Awareness of Africa in India.” Our website and quarterly newsletter is well received within a circle of people that count in developing Indo-African relations.

We have four magazine titles of our own – Diplomatist, Creature Companions, People and Management and food Marketing and Technology.  Diplomatist, our customer magazine, focuses on current affairs, with a few human interest and tourism articles thrown in. Creature Companions in related to pet care. People and Management focuses on Human Resources and food Marketing and Technology is on the food processing industry. All of these publications are circulated India-wide.

We are also the organizers of the India International Pet Trade Fair (IIPTF). The first fair was held in 2007 and the second in late Feb 2008. Now, Indian manufacturers of pet products don’t have to exhibit in pet trade fairs abroad; they have one of their own right here in India. Buyers from around the world attended both fairs.

We’re possibility thinkers and are willing to consider anything that we think makes sense. Do you have an idea that requires an implementation partner in India? Perhaps you’d like to share it with us. Then, if we think it has merit and if it falls within our scope, perhaps we can partner with you. If we think your idea has merit but falls outside of our scope of interest, we wouldn’t mind suggesting an alternative Indian implementation partner if we can think of one.
