established a new division – LBA Language Laboratory – and will
begin teaching Mandarin Chinese in January 2007.
Why Learn Mandarin?
|
|
Mandarin, one
of the oldest languages in the world, is the most commonly spoken of the Chinese
languages. The use extends throughout the majority of mainland China, Taiwan and
Singapore. There are approximately 1.3 billion people worldwide speaking
Mandarin. That’s about one fifth of the world’s population. The importance
of the language on a global-scale, therefore, cannot be denied.
With the Peoples’ Republic of China now opening up to foreign business and
tourism, this is the right time to learn Mandarin. Whether you are keen for your
business to take advantage of the huge opportunities available, or are simply
interested in the Chinese five thousand year old culture, you will benefit from
learning Mandarin, the official language of China. |

About
the Training Courses
|
|
Lessons will
include a balance of conversation, pronunciation, listening, and grammar, to
help the graduate communicate in business and everyday situations in Chinese
speaking countries. Chinese etiquette will also enhance the learning experience.
Our instructor uses an interactive method of teaching, which is based on
learning by practice. Grammar is covered as much as possible by using practical
situations. Therefore, actively using Mandarin is central to the learning
process. Implementing the interactive method of teaching depends heavily on the
personal attention your teacher can give. Therefore, our classes will never
exceed thirty trainees.
